Gmail is now 3rd largest email service

Good news for Gmail lovers. Now Gmail has become the 3rd most visited email service in US. It recently surpassed AOL.

Gmails rate of traffic growth is increasing enormously. From July 2008 to July 2009, the number of unique visitors to Gmail has increased from 25.3 million to 36.9 million.

If the trend continues, gmail may soon surpass Windows Hotmail which has 47.1 million monthly visitors.

However, it will be difficult for gmail to surpass yahoo, Yahoo the best email service provider is getting more than 100 million monthly visitors.
