Many websites guarantee that they wont sell your email address to third parties or spammers. But many of those sites may not keep up their promise and may sell your email address. Now there is a trick to find out those websites which are actually selling your email address.

If your Gmail login name was username@gmail.com and you are thinking to register in www.examplesite.com, while you fill out a registration form, instead of just entering username@gmail.com as your email, enter it as username+examplesite@gmail.com instead. When Gmail sees a "+" in an email address, it uses all the characters to the left of the plus sign to know who to send it to. So you still get the registration details. Hence you can get multiple email address with gmail.

Now when you get the spam mails, just click the Show Details link and you will see the complete address hence knowing which site has sold your email address.

The increased number of searches on Bing is attracting more advertisers.The number of clicks on ads served by Bing search engine jumped 13% in the two weeks after its launch.

The paid-click data released Tuesday by Efficient Frontier Inc, the world's largest search engine marketer, suggests Bing could become a significant revenue generator for the Microsoft if they can maintain its momentum.

APPLE Launches new iphone 3GS

Apple who created a revolution in mobile phones with its iPhone, launched its next series of iphone on monday which is speedier and has lot of other features.The new iphone 3GS is twice as fast as the present iphone availabe in the market.

The other features includes an improved digital camera and a mobile tracker which is used to locate the phone if it is lost or stolen.It also have voice features as well as taking videos.

Apple priced the new 3GS at $199 if memory is 16gb, and $299 for 32gb of memory.They also cut the price of existing iphone to $99.

This 3GS iPhone will be available in stores from June 19th and by the end of august this 3GS will be available in more than 80 countries.

Apple also previewed its new 15-inch notebook with improved battery life, the thinnest laptop of its kind MacBook Air which starts at $1499.

Google vs BING vs Yahoo in Worldwide Searches

Microsoft Bing is doing great in the initial stages of its launch. It overtook the world No. 2 Search engine Yahoo in the last few days in total number of searches. However it is far behind the Internet giant Google.

On June 4, according to data released by StatCounter Global Stats, Bing accounted for 5.62 percent of all worldwide searches, compared to Yahoo's 5.13 percent.To reach Google's 87.62 percent is very hard for both the above search engines. In the US, StatCounter says, Bing grabbed 16.28 per cent of June 4 searches, Yahoo! 10.22 per cent, and Google 71.47 per cent.


Microsoft is very happy with the response their search engine is getting. It has to be seen whether Bing beats yahoo continuously in the coming days.

"Steve Ballmer is quoted as saying that he wanted Microsoft to become the second biggest search engine within five years. Following the breakdown in talks to acquire Yahoo! at a cost of $40bn it looks as if he may have just achieved that with Bing much sooner and a lot cheaper than anticipated."

One should wait to findout whether BING outbeats YAHOO in the next few years and how far it reduces the share of google.

Google Wave, an impressive Communication tool

After seeing the demo of Google wave at Google I/O 2009, I am quite impressed with it and waiting for its official launch. With Google wave, People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. Google wave is an Open Source program. It uses a tree structure of messaging and its shared.

I am listing here some of the features of Google wave which will be launched later in this year.

Google wave combines Instant Messaging with email. It uses a shared server to save the conversation. For example you leave a message to your friend and go offline. Once your friend sees the message he reply to it in wave which is similar to chat window and later you can see it when you open google wave again. Whats different from email is you can use Google wave effectively for OFFLINE CHAT since the entire conversation takes place in server. Also you can say to your friends in the wave what you are doing at present just like twitter.

And suppose now you want to add another friend(say 3rd person) to the wave, he can see all the conversation that took place between you and your friend initially. There is also a PLAYBACK option, from where the third person can know the order of conversation took place between you and second person.

Google Wave also speeds up your instant live messaging by sending character by character live instead of waiting for the whole message to send at once. I sometimes hate messengers when it shows at the bottom John is typing.. and I have to wait until all the typing is completed to see his message, but with Google Wave you can see live transmission as you type, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time. Pretty awesome feature from Google wave team.

Sharing Photos is very simple in Wave, Just drag from your desktop to the browser and instantly all of your friends present in wave can see the photos and also download them.

How to get into Top 10 in Google Search in 45 mins?

I created a topic about Printing only necessary part of the page and just within 45 minutes my page came up into top 10 of Google search for a keyword "Print only part of a web page" and I got a unique visitor from UK for that page almost instantly. Among 2 billion results that came up for the search term, Google has selected my page to show in Top 10 and I am a little proud of it.

Almost nobody has winning and proven system to get into top 10 spot. Probably the following things I did with my site have helped my page to get into Top 10 of search results instantly:

• I update my site atleast once in two days. Google loves the sites if they are updated frequently with fresh content.
• I followed proper SEO. Search engine optimization will help your site to get into Top 10 quickly.
• I asked some of friends to link my site and thus increasing back links for my site. Backlinks play a major role in deciding the page rank and hence search results position.
• I submitted my site to almost all the major directories.
• I used keyword research tool like keyword elite to decide optimal keywords for my site.
• Using proper title and right keywords in the blog post will also enhance your search engine ranking.
• Use Meta keywords and Meta description tag which is very helpful for your site to get extra traffic from search engines.
• Build a quality site, a site which you can be proud of to show up to your family, friends and to google.
• Submit Sitemaps to google webmaster.
• I never used any software to do SEO. They are fast but they cost you a little bit.
• I generally leave a comment in the blogs I read with a link back to my site.
